Some of life’s most defining moments come from a simple YES!

When they saw him (Jesus), they worshiped him; but some doubted.

    - Matthew 28:17

Then Jesus came to them and said,  “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son

    and of the Holy Spirit,
    - Matthew 28:18-20

and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

    - Matthew 28:18-20

    Make Disciples

    Baptize Them
    Teach Them to Obey

“People of Israel, listen! God publicly endorsed Jesus the by doing powerful miracles, wonders, and signs through him, as you well know.

    - Acts 2:22

But God knew what would happen, and his prearranged plan was carried out when Jesus was betrayed. With the help of lawless Gentiles, you nailed him to a cross and killed him.

    - Acts 2:23

But God released him from the horrors of death and raised him back to life, for death could not keep him in its grip.

“So let everyone in Israel know for certain that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, to be both Lord and Messiah!”
    - Acts 2:24, 36

Peter’s words pierced their hearts, and they said to him and to the other apostles, “Brothers, what should we do?”

Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.
    - Acts 2:37-38

Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. This promise is to you, to your children, and to those far away—all who have been called by the Lord our God.”

    - Acts 2:39

Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church that day—about 3,000 in all.

    - Acts 2:41

Our YES to JESUS is the most significant choice will ever make.

    Obstacles to Obedience

    Confusion
    What is Baptism?

Baptism is an outward symbol of an inward decision.

And that water is a picture of baptism, which now saves you, not by removing dirt from your body, but as a response to God from a clean conscience. It is effective because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

    - 1 Peter 3:21

Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that,

    - Romans 6:3-4

…just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

    - Romans 6:3-4

I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how great is my distress until it is accomplished!”

    - Luke 12:50

    Obstacles to Obedience

    Confusion
    Pride
    Fear

Don't allow any obstacle to cheapen your yes to Jesus!

    Delayed obedience is diminished obedience!

    1. Have YOU said, "yes" to Jesus?
    2. Said, "yes" but have not been baptized.
    3. Were baptized younger and didn't choose/understand.
    4.You believed and were baptized.
