God doesn't want forced followers. God wants willing followers! There are many ways to sin, but only one way to true service. Don't be as Lot, who, according to II Peter 2:7-8, was worn down in the sins of Sodom and Gomorrah. Lot didn't die when God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, but God saved Lot, his wife, and two daughters. Lot's wife looked back and was turned into a pillar of salt. Lot's two daughters committed incest with Lot and had children by him. Don't be as Lot! God wants us to trust him, not ourselves. God's strength is much more than our strength because he made us, we didn't make him! God wants us to know we are fully dependent on him, so all our praise is directed toward him, and no praise is directed toward ourselves.
