Jesus' baptism by John in the Jordan River marked the beginning of his public ministry, which would take him to the cross where He would give his life for our salvation. Our Baptism marks us with the cross of Christ as we are baptized into all that Jesus has done for us. As God's baptized people, we now see the world - and our neighbor - through new eyes. By God's grace, we see Christ in our neighbor and respond as Christ to our neighbor.
