The Bible reveals two distinct spiritual experiences for every believer: being born again through salvation and being baptized with the Holy Spirit. Throughout Scripture, from Jesus to the disciples to Paul and the early church believers, we see these as separate encounters. The first brings salvation, while the second brings power, spiritual gifts, and deeper fellowship with God. Many Christians today have experienced salvation but haven't pursued the second experience that equips them for ministry and intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit. This baptism with the Spirit isn't about earning anything but about positioning ourselves to receive what God freely offers through dedicated time in prayer and fellowship.
