Crime Diner

Barbecue Adjacent

Listen Later

This week we explore the theme of barbecues. Remember those? COVID 19 has robbed us of many things but barbecues can still live in our hearts. Dana shares the story of Marlene Olive and the Barbecue Murders. That's one barbecue we'll be passing on. Nydia retells us her version of the Investigative Discovery documentary, Dead North, about the horrific and gruesome tale of possible female serial killer Kelly Cochran.
For dinner, we went with barbecue foods. Dana tried a homemade barbecue sauce recipe that she used to coat her grilled chicken with.  Nydia prepares a sure to please Oreo Fluff potluck dessert that is easy to make and looks like it took a lot of effort.  We shared a bottle of L'Umami Pinot Noir of Oregon.  At $20, this is our new favorite Pinot Noir! It was absolutely delicious and didn't leave an after taste. We really enjoyed this wine and would highly recommend it based on our unsophisticated taste buds.
