Katie and Bridget say "Hi Barbie!" as they re-watch this month's NOstalgic Happy Hour pick: Barbie! It's a movie all about how sometimes thoughts of death can lead to flat feet, horses/patriarchal takeovers, and cellulite. Come along as we meet Barbie, who's friends with Barbie, Barbie, and Barbie! Oh yeah and there's also Ken, Ken, and of course, Ken - he only has a good day when Barbie says hi to him. There's also Allan, the unsung hero of this movie, who may or may not be all the members of NSYNC... Barbie and Ken team up to go to the real world to find the person playing with Barbie. On the way she discovers what its like to be emo while Ken discovers what it's like to be every worst date with a guy you've ever been on. Will Barbie be able to restore things in her world back to the way things were? Is Will Ferrell's character the son of a mother? Released in 2023, it was written and directed by Greta Gerwig and features a huge cast of stars including: Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Issa Rae, Kate McKinnon, Simu Liu, Michael Cera, America Ferrera, Rhea Perlman, Will Ferrell, and Helen Mirren.
