As the airplane soared into the clouds, I knew this was not a goodbye but a promise of return, to see the colors painted by the sunset over the Sagrada Familia one more time, to hear the laughter in the streets, and to feel the embrace of the sea once again—the enduring allure of Barcelona would call me back home.
