In which the city is swarmed by a restless and brazen multitude, emboldened rather than quelled by the presence of the military and wavering civic authority, taking control of the streets with an air of defiant supremacy. Among the tumult, a locksmith, steadfast and resolute, is compelled to guide the rioters’ forceful designs upon Newgate, facing the peril of their wrath with unyielding courage.
