Javier is a manager and board member of SoCal MSBL. He didn't play organized baseball until age 14. However, his uncle's training made the transition much simpler. Javier is our first guest who played baseball in the Mexican leagues. He has played all over the LA area in various leagues before becoming firmly entrenched in MSBL. In our second talk with Thatch. We hear about what he discovered that made a successful team (he has been on a lot of them). What he instills in the kids he coaches. In the late nineties Thatch discovered that he was having some physical issues. Hear what it took for him to finally discover he had MS for over a quarter century. Baseball has always been number one for Thatch ever since his grandpa took him to a Giants game as a 7 year old. Success in Little League (even having to get on 3 buses to get to a playoff series) just fueled that passion. High school and JC followed.
