He began his career as on operations manager in the retail industry. However, his wellness career began in 1999 in wholesale skincare wholesale sales and then over a decade in the industry he became the Vice President of a chain of 4 wellness / medical spas. 

In 2011 Barry chose to strike out on his own and he began a digital media consulting business that instantly blossomed. He met Jenni Nagle on an assignment at a national skin care brand . The duo decided to create Lipgloss + Aftershave in 2017 after realizing there was no review platform in the professional skin care industry. 

Barry’s a sought-after host and speaker, having worked with the International Esthetic, Cosmetics and Spa Conference, NASNPRO, SpaHive, and The Skin Games. He’s also attended over 100 professional skin care industry events including International Congress of Esthetics & Spa, Face & Body, American Beauty Show, International Beauty Show, the Indie Beauty Show and the World Of Confidence Conference.

Barry has also been selected to sit on the Questex Wellness Advisory Board. Barry was also invited to sit on the Advisory Council for Coralai, a skin care analysis platform, to help with the global launch the platform. Barry’s also served as a brand ambassador for Pre-Grammy and Pre-Oscar gifting suites in Los Angeles. 

He’s a photographer and a writer. He’s lives in Ft Lauderdale and is a fitness enthusiast who enjoys cycling, paddleboarding, swimming, and being in or on the water! He loves to cook, travel and is on the endless search for the perfect Café Americano.
