The רבי begins by taking us through the process of Hashem removing His Light in the beginning of creation, especially through our sins, specifically for the purpose of us creating an even stronger level of Light.
This is done through our עבודה as soldiers - צבאות ה - with commitment and קבלת עול, not getting intimidated by the darkness, and on the contrary, transforming it to the greatest level of Light!
