A lot of Anglicanism today is in an identity crisis and has been for the last few hundred years. One of the ideas behind this channel is that modern evangelicalism’s approach to Christianity is a great indicator of the direction Anglicanism needs to head, with some clarifications and changes along the way.This was perfectly articulated and clarified in my conversation with Dustin Messer. He gets it, so to speak. And much less, he’s in the thick of it right now as the vicar of an evangelical Anglican parish in Dallas with over 700 people attending weekly. This is unheard of in the mainline! But, church growth is not complicated, Dustin and I talk about what they did to grow and it will shock you: they just kinda did normal Christian stuff.
