Back in the dark ages, my early copy of Audacity was set up - accidentally, incorrectly but fortuitously - so that audio recorded on it would go into a reverberation feedback loop, controlled by the volume input.
I used it during the recording of an interview with William Basinski (whose monumental Disintegration Loops are about to be re-released) in 2013. This piece, recorded in full but unreleased, begins with some of the resulting track, then uses extracts, stretches and cut-ups made from it. The sound sources are Basinki's voice and some short passages of his work.
