International ice cream giant Baskin Robbins has decided to launch a new unique flavour in memory of the toughest year faced by mankind since the Black Death. The new flavour is set to hit stores around the world in July with the US markets getting a sneak peek a week earlier. The new flavour is said to be the Flavour of The Month for July 2021.
Baskin Robbins is known around the world for some iconic flavours of ice cream like Pralines n Cream, Mississippi Mud, Honey Nut Crunch, World Class Chocolate and loads of others. They are also known for the fact that they have 31 flavours in their stores at all times ensuring that you can eat a different flavour of ice cream every single day of the year. What makes the Baskin Robbins experience truly memorable is that you can ask for as many samples as you like until you find your preferred flavour.
Founded in 1945 by army veterans and brothers in law, Burk Baskin and Irv Robbins by merging their existing ice cream shops in California, they soon pioneered the extensive menus and also the use of tropical fruits in their ice creams. Baskin Robbins currently operate in 50 countries and have over 7500 stores worldwide.
Keeping with their USP of introducing new flavours as the “Flavour of the Month” they have launched over 1500 flavours since 1945. This includes non-dairy and vegan flavours that were introduced in 2019.
The parent company of Baskin Robbins has gone through multiple acquisitions over the years since the death of Burt Baskin in 1967. Baskin Robbins had a revival of sorts in the 2000s when it was learnt that former US President, Barak Obama had spent time working at Baskin Robbins in the summer of 1978. The brand is now much stronger after weathering the storm of frozen yoghurt and sorbets that threatened to upturn the ice cream market in the 2000s.
Our source within the Baskin Robbins R&D lab which introduces new flavours into the market has informed us that the brand was all set to launch a new flavour into the market to raise funds for COVID19 research. All sales of the brand across all the countries will go towards developing vaccines for countries that do not have a Baskin Robbins brand.
