The Basque Country has taken two wins against the two Giants of Spain (Barcelona and Real Madrid) in the Copa del Rey

 The Campeonato de España–Copa de Su Majestad el Rey, commonly known as Copa del Rey or simply La Copa, is an annual knockout football competition in Spanish football, organized by the Royal Spanish Football Federation. 

The competition was founded in 1903, thus making it the oldest Spanish football competition. Futbol Club Barcelona, commonly referred to as Barcelona and colloquially known as Barça, is a Spanish professional football club based in Barcelona, Catalonia.  Real Madrid Club de Fútbol, commonly referred to as Real Madrid, is a Spanish professional football club based in Madrid. Founded on 6 March 1902 as Madrid Football Club, the club has traditionally worn a white home kit since inception.

 Real Sociedad de Fútbol, S.A.D., more commonly referred to as Real Sociedad or La Real, is a Spanish sports club in the city of San Sebastián, Basque Country, founded on 7 September 1909. It plays its home matches at the Anoeta Stadium.  Athletic Club, also commonly known as Athletic Bilbao, is a Spanish professional football club based in the city of Bilbao in the Basque Country. They are known as Los Leones because their stadium was built near a church called San Mamés. Mammes was an early Christian thrown to the lions by the Romans. 

 Granada Club de Fútbol, or simply Granada, is a Spanish football club in Granada, in the autonomous community of Andalusia. Founded on 14 April 1931, it plays in the La Liga. The club plays its home matches at the Estadio Nuevo Los Cármenes.  Club Deportivo Mirandés is a Spanish football team based in Miranda de Ebro, Province of Burgos, in the autonomous community of Castile and León. Founded on 3 May 1927 it plays in Segunda División, holding home matches at Estadio Municipal de Anduva.
