Heavy, fast and dark, these three words can simply describe the Giana Brotherz style quite well. It all started back in 2000 when the producer duo SSB (aka Chicken & Sola) formed the Drum&Bass live project Giana Brotherz, to create a stir within the scene. Even their first releases on Basswerk & Pathfinder acquired international recognition and were played by almost every „Big Name“ DJ of the time. Their track „Crossed Roots“ (Basswerk 015) was one one of the most important releases of 2002 , and it was only a matter of time before the UK would pay attention to them: In 2002, DJ Fresh released „Tessla“ on the Bad Company sublabel Square One. 2003 saw them start up their own label: Giana Brotherz Recordings was born and has since been home to high quality output from diverse artists. Put the volume on maximum and enjoy this nice piece of heavy bass music!

He´s into the scene for more than 10 years now and well known for skilled mixing and a focus on deep and heavy dnb from techy to soulful. He´s a long term collab partner of the famous duo Neonlight and has already released on Blackout Music and Cause for Concern Recordings. He´s involved in the Leipzig based crew boundless beatz, which is influencening the scene in Leipzig and Saxony for more than a decade. Our Bass Up Podcast is a platform for all facets of bass music! In our 22nd issue we are happy to provide one hour bright, melodic and pushing techno by the Weimar based upcoming DJ LEVT. He played already in the Bootshaus Cologne, the Katermukke labelnights in Hamburg and on the famous cruise boat at the Sonne Mond Sterne Festival. Currently he´s promoting his latest release on Voltage Records including a great Felix Kröcher remix called "The Beast".
