The SketchBook

The spearhead of our ego. The Sketchbook is an uncomfortable little book that hold our “could be’s” and “would have been’s”.   Truthfully, it is rare to see a sketch book filled form cover to cover in perfected art.  A sketch book is just what it is, a book for sketching.

Sketch: a rough or unfinished drawing or painting, often made to assist in making a more finished picture.

So why put so much pressure on yourself to have the best rough pictures? Some of us take the long way around the mountain before we can find that final image. The Bastards of Art Episode 19 encourages the artist in you to let go and use the sketch book for what it is, a tool for the bigger process.
