Narrator Tara Ochs ably manages the moody shifts in tone of this story about a town called Bastion Falls already lying snowbound in September. Even as the town is progressively buried under the relentless snow, dark secrets are uncovered and exposed, leading to fatal consequences. Fate brings together pretty, divorced Marilyn, who has just recently returned to Bastion Falls to start over again, and Shandy, a teenager with psychic abilities. The two need all their courage to overcome the looming threat to their town. Ochs handles the individual voices of the large cast of characters with aplomb, and listeners will find this audiobook ideal for a spooky winter night.

thr Dry Spell was the first of the author's two books. it is excellent so I read this book. I found it tiredone but realizing that teen readrrs would like it I went through it to the end. Too manyventities for m.
