π¦ Batman #15 vs. Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Survivors #1! Who gets the Signal?
It's New Comic Book Day at Bat-Signals Comic Club, and we're checking out two of the biggest names in comics!
First up, Batman #15 by Matt Fraction and Jorge JimΓ©nez. We've got assassins, incredible artwork, and some interesting developments in Gotham City.
Then we're diving into Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Survivors #1 by Chip Zdarsky and Marco Checchetto. I'm not usually a huge Avengers reader, but this lineup caught my attention!
PLUS⦠I opened two Avengers blind bags and pulled an absolutely gorgeous Scarlet Witch sketch cover!
π My Signal Check:
π¦ Batman #15 β 5/5
β‘ Avengers #1 β 4/5
Both are worth checking out!
β BAT-QUESTION:
If you could only follow ONE comic series for the next year, would you choose Batman or the Avengers?
Drop your Signal in the comments!
Welcome to Bat-Signals Comic Club β comics worth reading, discovering, and talking about.
Pull up a comic. You're in the Club!
Chase what you love, keep your eye on the Signal. Ha-bye-bye!
Shows get produced. Brad Files happen.
Today's brain dump is going in three completely different directions!
π¦ First, did you know Batman once dressed like a bag of Skittles? Detective Comics #241 introduced Rainbow Batman, and there's actually a reason behind those ridiculous colors!
π¬ Next, are mail carriers celebrating the end of election season? Because I imagine they're pretty happy to see fewer political mailers.
π§ Finally, how many brilliant ideas have disappeared because we trusted ourselves to remember them instead of writing them down?
Plus a little Phorm Energy to get the morning moving. Not sponsored, just something I enjoy!
Today's Bat-Question: What's the most ridiculous thing Batman has ever done?
Chase what you love, keep your eye on the Signal, and ha-bye-bye!
π Happy Halloween! Four comics enter the reading pile, but which one shines the brightest?
Welcome to Bat-Signals Comic Club, where we discover comics worth reading and talking about!
This episode's reading pile:
π¦ Absolute Batman #25 β Scott Snyder and Nick Dragotta bring the chaos, the Joker, and some HUGE surprises!
π Barbara Gordon: Breakout #6 β Fantastic artwork, a developing mystery, and a welcome Two-Face appearance!
β‘ The Terminal #4 β One of my favorite indie discoveries of the year. Andy Kubert's artwork continues to impress!
β οΈ Gambit: Gone #2 β Rogue and Gambit are always a draw for me, but did this issue keep my attention?
Which comic takes the top spot? And which one left me wanting more?
β οΈ SPOILER WARNING: This episode includes story details and reveals from all four comics, including Absolute Batman #25.
π¦ BAT-QUESTION:
What comic are you reading right now that deserves more attention?

Nobody Wants This lost me. Clayface won me over. And somewhere in my big bald head, I've lost a brilliant idea. π
Welcome back to The Brad Files!
Today I've got three things bouncing around my brain:
πΊ Nobody Wants This Season 3 β I loved the first two seasons, but what happened to Joanne and Noah? The supporting characters are more interesting than the leads!
π¦ Clayface β DC might be onto something with an R-rated Gotham villain universe. And I've got a pitch for a Joe Chill movie that could change how we look at Batman's origin.
π§ The Lost Idea Dimension β Ever have a brilliant idea, forget to write it down, and lose it forever? Where do those thoughts go? Probably wherever all the missing socks are hiding.
No script. No plan. Just whatever's rattling around in my head before work.
Shows get produced. Brad Files happen.
Chase what you love. Ha-bye-bye!
We had a little catching up to do. So, here are all the things that we needed to chat about!
π¦π‘ Three comics. Three different worlds. One unexpected favorite!
Welcome back to Bat-Signals Comic Club, where we discover comics worth reading, discovering, and talking about!
This week, I'm diving into three comics with honest first-read reactions, a little commentary along the way, and one surprising winner.
π Wolverine: Paradise β Wolverine on vacation? I wasn't sold. But throw Dazzler into the mix, give it some fantastic retro artwork, and suddenly I'm having way more fun than I expected!
βοΈ Dark Knights of Steel II #3 β Medieval Bane, Harley Quinn, Batman, and some interesting developments in DC's fantasy universe. Is the story still delivering?
π Gambit: Wanted #3 β My Gambit obsession continues! We're checking in on Remy LeBeau while I continue my Gambit collecting journey on Worth the Space.
This time, I'm also experimenting with something new: stopping during the comics to share reactions, predictions, and random thoughts as they happen.
Which comic gets my Signal this week? You might be surprised!
π¬ THE BAT-QUESTION: You've got ONE comic to convince me to read. What are you putting in my hands, and why?
Leave your recommendation in the comments. Your pick might end up in a future Comic Club episode!

Street Fighter is a 2/10 movieβ¦ and I absolutely LOVED IT! ππ₯
I just walked out of Street Fighter, and I had an absolute blast!
Is it a great movie? Nope. Does it need to be? Absolutely not!
From Ken and Ryu to M. Bison, Blanka, and a cast featuring WWE stars, this movie had me laughing like a kid again. My 17-year-old daughter? Let's just say she didn't quite share my enthusiasm.
Sometimes you don't need an Oscar-worthy story. Sometimes you just need popcorn, nostalgia, and a movie that knows how to have fun.
And now I want a Street Fighter vs. Mortal Kombat game!
π₯ BAT-QUESTION: If you could bring ONE Mortal Kombat character into Street Fighter, or vice versa, who would you choose?
Welcome to The Brad Files.

A $6.66 blind bag just stole the Bat-Signal! π¦π‘
Welcome to the very first episode of Bat-Signals Comic Club! A place for comics worth reading, discovering, and talking about.
This week, we're diving into FOUR comics:
π The Terminal #2 & #3 β Is this becoming one of my favorite indie series?
π¦ Batman #14 β Matt Fraction's Batman continues, and I'm really starting to dig Verity!
β°οΈ Graveyard Shift #1 β A $6.66 blind bag from Rodman Comics in Ankeny, Iowa, that I wasn't even planning to buy. Could it actually steal the show?
We're talking incredible artwork, unexpected discoveries, Batman, and why sometimes the best comic is the one you never intended to pick up.
THE BAT-QUESTION: What's the best comic you've ever bought completely on impulse?
Drop your answer in the comments, and tell me what the Comic Club should read next!

I just walked out of Other Mommy, and I'm still trying to figure out how I feel about it! π
It wasn't particularly scary or gory, but it had some good jump scares, a creepy Other Mommy, and a fantastic performance from its young star.
Was it brilliant? Was I missing something? Or was it simply a decent horror movie that kept me entertained?
I'm giving it a 6/10, but I still think it's worth watching!
And since we're officially in spooky season, I've got a Bat-Question:
π What's your favorite Halloween movie?
Welcome to my brain.
π Marvel has gone MIDNIGHT!
Three new comics. Three twisted takes on familiar Marvel characters. But which one shines the brightest?
In this special edition of The Signal, I'm diving into all three new Marvel Midnight #1s:
π¦Έ Midnight Fantastic Four #1
π·οΈ Midnight Spider-Man #1
β Midnight X-Men #1
I'm going in with very little knowledge, reading each issue, and sharing my immediate reactions. From creepy new origins and familiar villains to vampires, surprises, and one book that completely exceeded my expectations, there's plenty to talk about!
Which comic earned my strongest Signal? And is Marvel's Midnight Universe a worthy answer to DC's Absolute Universe?
π‘ THE BAT-QUESTION: If you could give ANY Marvel character or team the Midnight treatment, who would you choose? Who deserves to get MIDNIGHT'D?
Drop your Signal and join the conversation!
