* How could we not start with the Perth Lynx? Almost had their season finished but are now on a 4 game winning streak including a 2-0 sweep of the reigning champions in the semi finals stamping their ticket to the second GF appearance in three seasons
* On the cricket front, the Western Warriors took one step towards defending their Sheffield Shield title with a solid win v Queensland ahead of another must win clash v Victoria coming up
* The bubble was burst for the Perth Glory men going down to the bottom placed Western United with 0-1 scoreline flattering
