The Battered Soccer Fans weekly panel is back for Part 2 — and this time we’re heading out West.

With the MLS regular season nearing the finish line, the big question is simple:

Who can REALLY challenge Vancouver in the Western Conference?

We’ll break down which Western Conference teams are legitimate MLS Cup contenders, which clubs we trust heading into the postseason, how each team stacks up against Vancouver, the biggest strengths and weaknesses across the conference, and the matchups nobody wants to see in the playoffs.

Who is built for a deep playoff run?

Who is being overrated?

And most importantly…

Who can actually knock off Vancouver?

The Battered Soccer Fans weekly panel is BACK!

With the MLS regular season entering its final stretch, we’re bringing together four different perspectives to answer one question:

Who can REALLY challenge Nashville in the Eastern Conference?

Nashville currently leads the East, but the race behind them is loaded with teams that believe they can make a run at MLS Cup. New England, Inter Miami and Charlotte currently occupy the next three positions, while Philadelphia remains in the playoff picture.

We’ll debate which teams are legitimate contenders, which ones we don’t trust, how our own clubs match up against Nashville, the biggest strengths and weaknesses of each roster, potential playoff matchups and ultimately make our picks for who comes out of the Eastern Conference.

And this is only Part 1 — we’ll be back the following night with another four-person panel breaking down the Western Conference contenders.

Who do YOU have winning the East?

The kids are MORE than alright.
The USMNT just put together a statement three-game run, finishing it off by dominating Mexico 3-0!
Mauricio Pochettino gave the youngsters an opportunity and they delivered:
USA 4-1 Peru
USA 4-2 Chile
USA 3-0 Mexico
3 games. 3 wins. 11 goals.

On this episode of Battered Soccer Fans, we recap all three matches and break down the biggest storylines from an incredible international window. Which young players raised their stock the most? Who has earned a permanent spot with the senior team? And did we just get our first real look at the generation that could lead the United States toward the 2030 World Cup?

We’ll discuss Cavan Sullivan making USMNT history, Julian Hall scoring in all three matches, Sebastian Berhalter’s breakout performances, Mathis Albert’s emergence, Diego Kochen’s opportunity in goal, Malik Tillman’s production and much more.
The biggest question coming out of this window:
Are these kids officially ready NOW? 🇺🇸
