Author Craig Chapman talks about his dad, whose story he captured in new book “Battle Hardened: An Infantry Officer's Harrowing Journey from D-Day to V-E Day.” Tapping his own experience as an infantry officer, Chapman used memories of his dad’s stories, letters from the war and National Archives records to write about his father’s combat experience during World War II.
