And Birch Bayh, the former Indiana senator, and two-time presidential candidate died this week at age 91.  He is best known for authoring two constitutional amendments, the 25th (regarding presidential succession and fitness for office) and the 26th (which lowered the voting age to 18).  Fred Nation served as Bayh’s press secretary and shares his memories.
