8 அதெப்படியென்றால், மாம்சத்தின்படி பிள்ளைகளானவர்கள் தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகளல்ல, வாக்குத்தத்தத்தின்படி பிள்ளைகளானவர்களே அந்தச் சந்ததி என்றெண்ணப்படுகிறார்கள்.

ரோமர் 9:8

Romans 9:8 NKJV

That is, those who are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God; but the children of the promise are counted as the seed.

10 இரண்டு மனுஷர் ஜெபம்பண்ணும்படி தேவாலயத்துக்குப் போனார்கள், ஒருவன் பரிசேயன், மற்றவன் ஆயக்காரன்.

லூக்கா 18:10

11 பரிசேயன் நின்று: தேவனே! நான் பறிகாரர், அநியாயக்காரர், விபசாரக்காரர் ஆகிய மற்ற மனுஷரைப்போலவும், இந்த ஆயக்காரனைப்போலவும் இராததனால் உம்மை ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கிறேன்.

லூக்கா 18:11

12 வாரத்தில் இரண்டுதரம் உபவாசிக்கிறேன், என் சம்பாத்தியத்திலெல்லாம் தசமபாகம் செலுத்திவருகிறேன் என்று, தனக்குள்ளே ஜெபம்பண்ணினான்.

லூக்கா 18:12

13 ஆயக்காரன் தூரத்திலே நின்று, தன் கண்களையும் வானத்துக்கு ஏறெடுக்கத் துணியாமல், தன் மார்பிலே அடித்துக்கொண்டு: தேவனே! பாவியாகிய என்மேல் கிருபையாயிரும் என்றான்.

14 அவனல்ல, இவனே நீதிமானாக்கப்பட்டவனாய்த் தன் வீட்டுக்குத் திரும்பிப்போனான் என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன், ஏனெனில் தன்னை உயர்த்துகிறவனெவனும் தாழ்த்தப்படுவான், தன்னைத் தாழ்த்துகிறவன் உயர்த்தப்படுவான் என்றார்.

Luke 18:9-14 NKJV

Also He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:

[10] "Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.

[11] The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, 'God, I thank You that I am not like other men-extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector.

[12] I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.'

[13] And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, 'God, be merciful to me a sinner!'

[14] I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."
