This week on Bakers Bantering, Derek and Katy display their sibling rivalry to the fullest extent. Derek’s feeling extremely ucey in the beginning of the podcast while Katy makes Ellis feel old by reminding him how close he is to 30 (0:41-2:31). We get into some extensive football commentary involving the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles. The Chiefs are moving on after a dominating victory over the Miami Dolphins in the frozen tundra of Arrowhead Stadium, and Jenna and Katy shout out some of their favorite celebrities rocking some stellar fashion. Derek and our friend Philly Jared sadly couldn’t celebrate a victory for the Eagles after a demoralizing loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2:32-22:12). Derek gives thanks to some fans on TikTok live, and thanks to Jenna after she congratulates him for multiple 4-hour nights and one 5-hour night on the CPAP (22:13-27:17). Even though Derek’s been sleeping better, this day, he woke up and chose violence. He said some things to Katy that only a brother could get away with, and she rightfully snaps back (27:18-30:04). Jenna had a winter fiasco in her “new” car and thankfully fiancé Chris saved the day. Derek and Katy continue to bicker, and Jenna shares that he had some resentment toward a Chick-Fil-A worker after a misunderstanding (30:05-39:39). Jenna explains why Spongebob wasn’t a regularly watched cartoon in the Baker household growing up, Katy reflects on her first finals experience as a teacher, and Ellis has winter car trouble of his own (39:40-48:58). The Weekly Wrestling Wrap Up is full of excitement because we’re going to AEW Collision! Derek toes the line of being “Rated R” with thoughts on Adam Copeland, the potential of the “Bang Bang Scissor Gang”, and someone being a female dog (49:11-1:00:58). The out of context inappropriateness continues with a new wrestling show Derek is watching, called TNA Wrestling (it’s not what you think) (1:01:00-1:06:19). Moving on to WWE, Jenna heard from Sportskeeda that there might be some surprise entrants in the Royal Rumble. Someone that’s not Derek has a crush on Bayley, and he shares his Royal Rumble champion predictions (1:06:20-1:23:30).
