Today’s episode we’re talking gratitude and the brain.

We have an automatic negative bias and it takes longer to process happiness in the brain.

This is one reason practicing gratitude, building awareness, and recognizing the good things that bring us bits of joy in our days is such a powerful tool to counteract stress and negative bias.

The more you practice gratitude the more your brain looks for things to give it that hit of dopamine, serotonin, and oxytocin (these are the neurochemicals that helps us feel connected and emotionally regulated)

Caring for yourself in proactive rather than reactive ways that help increase the threshold to stress and give you a sense of self-directed accomplishment and satisfaction… maybe even get crazy and celebrate your efforts and yourself!

Get in there and give it a listen for more!
