If you live in this Province, you’re no stranger to the housing affordability crisis. We hear more everyday about all the problems potential new home-owners face in trying to get into the housing market and right now there seems to be a cooling which could mean good things for some, and bad things for others.  Vancouver Realtor Steve Saretsky talks us through what the numbers and showing us.
Do you swear in front of your kids?  New research has some surprising findings around how adult language affects the behaviour of our children. Cognitive scientist Benjamin Bergen joined the show and told us the use of casual slurs may not have any effect on our children at all.
How do we keep our seniors safe?  The death of a 90-year old woman in a care home is raising concerns about the state of some of the facilities designed to take care of the elderly. An altercation took place between two seniors that injured and ultimately led to the death of the 90 year old woman.  Isobel Mackenzie, BC’s senior advocate, joined us and talked about her concerns about the situation.
How do you feel about immigration?  A new poll from Ipsos Reid suggests Canadians have more negative attitudes towards immigration in 2018, than they did in 2017. The poll, conducted exclusively for Global News, found 54 percent of respondents feel that Canada is currently too welcoming to immigrants.  Ipsos Rieds Kyle Braid joins the show to talk us through the findings.
