The salmon's journey is a great image of the life that Jesus lived.
In today's 2nd reading,
we heard that
Jesus, for the sake of the JOY that was set before Him
<ul>
 <li>endured the hostility of sinners</li>
 <li>& the shame of the Cross</li>
</ul>
Jesus swam upstream
to the goal of heaven
And when Jesus ended His amazing journey
<ul>
 <li>to the place he came from.</li>
</ul>
just like the salmon
<ul>
 <li>In his death, Jesus was able to bring forth an abundance of new life - eternal life.</li>
</ul>
