The Lord teaches that the function of a Christ follower is to be an influencer in the world. Jesus did not call the church to be removed from the world but rather to be “influencers” of the world as salt and light. Today we consider the impact of the “salt”: Salt preserves, enhances and creates a thirst! The Christian is in fact a steward of “the saltiness” of the Gospel and will one day give an account to God for their impact on the world. How are you doing? Are you living like a Christian? Is your life influencing people to know and grow deeper in Christ?
