Our faith has to be steady. Our faith has to be solid. We experience so many different We experience so many different emotions in one day. We can be having a great day and then become angry, sad, anxious, frustrated and then become happy again. We sometimes encounter a roller coaster of emotions based off of the many things we are exposed to throughout the day, but that can NEVER change our stance in God.

Be anchored. We can’t be unsteady.

Too often, we only use scriptures to uplift and encourage. And though God’s word is inspirational, it is also alive, therefore we must use the word to hold ourselves accountable. We must understand that grace and mercy aren’t there for us to abuse or, put in simple words, continue in sin. God’s word brings forth a mirror along with standards, and light to the dark places in our hearts so we change how we live. We should want to kill the old man (self) and become brand new in God. 

And sometimes the only way to recognize and confront those behaviors is through “tough” talk.
