In Esther 4, we find the Queen struggling with her identity, or at least, with the idea of going public with her identity. Isn't that us? We've been changed by the power of God personally and yet we struggle with really aligning ourselves with the power of God publicly. Sure, we love Jesus, but we aren't sure how different we want to appear from those who don't love Jesus, and so we find ourselves tucked away in the castle hoping "those people" won't hurt us while we wait for them to change. But the truth that Esther discovers is this: we'll never change culture by hiding change from culture.
