Esther 2:1 says that later, King Xerxes remembered what he'd done to his queen. All of us can relate to the regret of bad choices, can't we? And yet, just like Xerxes, even though we regret them, the reality of bad choices usually sets in and we make them again. Perhaps one of the most shocking - and liberating - truths of the story of Esther is that God is powerful and sovereign enough to redeem bad choices. What great news for people like us! God is greater than our greatest failure!
