The story of Esther isn't about perfect people as much as it's about imperfect people in the hands of a perfect God at the perfect time accomplishing his purpose. In chapter 1, we find a bad king, a noble queen, and a bunch of drunk military guys. We also find that when we sit on the throne of our lives, we make bad kings who make bad decisions, but bad kings eventually must bow to a better King. His name is King Jesus. Before he can rule, we've got to stage a coup and kick the bad kings off the throne!
