Be Filled By The Holy Spirit To Fight The Enemy and Unbelief
Luke 4: 1-2, 23-24, 35, 39; Ephesians 5:18
In this Chapter of Luke, God showed us how to fight the devil, how to command demons to flee a possessed person, and how to heal by just standing over someone who is sick.
As Christians, we have the same power that Jesus had in the wilderness to fight the enemy. That is by quoting the scriptures with authority and precision. The enemy knows the word, but it doesn't have power when he uses it. He just quotes it to tempt us, but when we quote it to him, it comes out as a command from God.
Jesus had authority in his words, and so we do. We have the power to command demons to flee and to abandon people's lives, but we must be filled by the Holy Spirit to fight the enemy properly.
Jesus only had to stand over to heal Simon's mother-in-law. He can heal at any time and with just his presence. He is not physically with us today, but he lives inside us. Us who have accepted Him as our Lord and Savior, he lives in the form of the Holy Spirit, who raised Him from death, our Helper.
Today, I encourage you to be filled by the Holy Spirit daily, for the battle with the enemy in this world is real. When we use God's strength in the form of the Holy Spirit, our Helper, and Counselor, we can overcome any of Satan's obstacles or temptations.
