We've been doing a series for our Podcast on the Fruits of the Holy Spirit and this week I led the discussion on Be Patient! Yes, I know we all sigh at the same time whenever we hear the title Be Patient. We discussed 3 ideas behind finding patience: Pray, Pause, and Prepare. But this week as I have been spending a little extra time in prayer, I felt as though God was showing me how I need to practice "pausing" with Him. Sure, I pray to Him about changing me, read books and do Bible studies, but when He doesn't answer me the way I want or when I want do I pause? Do I practice being long-tempered with God? I am quite certain many times the answer is NO. But Isaiah 40:31 gives us great encouragement. Let us all practice the pause with our loving God and allow this fruit to grow us even closer!
