Paul encourages the believers in Philippi to live in unity, humility, and love. He urges them to put others before themselves, following the example of Christ, who humbled Himself by leaving His divine glory, taking on human form, and dying on the cross. Because of His obedience, God exalted Him above all, giving Him the name above every name. Paul tells the church to “work out their salvation” with reverence, shining like lights in a dark world. He also commends Timothy and Epaphroditus as faithful servants of Christ who live out this selfless attitude.
