Be impulsive.
Hi I'm Brian Pombo, welcome back to Brian J. Pombo Live.
I'm coming to you from the front seat of our rental vehicle that we use to get across the country. Really, it was just hitting up a handful of states while we're out of town on a business trip, the first time taking the entire family on this long of a business trip.
So it was a nice little experiment, I haven't had as much time to do things.
So I wanted to stop and see friends. I know there's a bunch of you who I said I was going to stop and see in the Salt Lake City area in the Boise area. And I can't, I'm sorry, our schedule was so tight this time around.
In the future, I hope to have a looser schedule, to where I can fit in time to be able to see all my friends. see people who I haven't seen in a long time will definitely do it, what will make it happen, but didn't happen this time.
What did happen this time, though, it was interesting, I had some business meetings with some folks and I had an idea I had a concept and I had to make it public. I had to put it out there.
Because without it, it would never really happen on my own. It had to happen because I got it out there in front of people that we actually started talking about this, you know.
And so I did it, I went ahead and did it, I offered it, I put it out there. And now we're starting a new process that we've never had in place before. But that I know it has great possibilities of actually being something big. So at least for me.
And so I'm excited and it brought me back, it's like what was the difference between doing it and not doing it. A lot of times, if you're anything like me, you may not be a shoot first ask questions later, on certain things I am, I'm a very, go get them.
Do it now type of person on a lot of things. But when it's something new, I oftentimes will chew it around in my brain, write it down on paper, pass it by a few other people first, I do a whole bunch of things with it before I fully implement it. And it really has to do with your personality and your cohesion and so forth.
And so everyone's a little bit different. If you already have this, you don't have to worry about it. But when I was working very early on in business, I had a kind of a mentor, say you've got to be impulsive, you have to be impulsive, you have to be at the point when you're making phone calls. And you're having to make that next phone call to get ahold of somebody. You have to pick it up and dial and then worry about what you're going to say. It's got to be one of those types of things.
You have to be impulsive, the longer you sit around and think about it. And he was really a person that sat around and thought about things. I mean, this was a thinker.
But he said, You've got to be impulsive.
And that's one of those lessons from him that I've never forgotten. So I pass it on you be impulsive, you will be happy for those times in your life when you thought, should I do it, should I not do it, sometimes you just got to pull the trigger, you got to run forward and be impulsive.
So quick tip while I'm on the road. It's not always easy to get these videos out.
While I'm on the road for the past two days. I have not had a video out and I'm completely honest, I've done it that I haven't done it like that in a long time.
