I'm a week late posting, but the message is still relevant. 

Today, it seems that we are more divided than ever before.  We are living is times of hatred and outrage that spurs so quickly.  Times where we're forced to pick a side rather than listen to understand.  Regardless of which side you're on, what your beliefs are, I hope you are reminded by these words as you listen to today's episode to be kind. 

Be kind because someone voices a different opinion than yours or stands up for something you disagree with, it doesn't mean they become your enemy.  At the end of the day, we can choose to believe what we believe to be the truth AND, we can also choose to be kind and show respect to others who think, act and look differently than we do. 

I have respect for those who stand up for what they believe is right and I want my girls to do the same.  But when it's done out of proving a point or out of anger, it's not going to unite anyone towards a common goal.  It's only going to divide.

People can be hurtful.  But I believe that most want to do good.  They want to show kindness and be open minded.  Look for someone on your path this week that you can show kindness too.  Remember, if you want to make waves, it starts with a ripple.  It starts small and grows.  Let's sow seeds of kindness wherever we go.
