"When I first felt God calling me to evangelism at age 27, I was nervous. “Really God? You want me to do this?" I asked. "I am just an average man! How could I possibly be an ambassador for Jesus Christ?" Thankfully, mentors encouraged me, and reminded me that God wants to use all of us to help spread His Good News.
Through the years, I’ve come up with the two most important things we must do, if we want to be prepared to share the Gospel.
First, it’s important to be in the Word daily. This is how God speaks to us. I try to start each day by reading in my Bible. I ask God to reveal to me where He wants me to go, and what He wants me to do that day. Second, we must be in prayer daily, because this is how we speak to God. Our walk with God is not a religion, but a relationship. And all relationships require communication to grow. So, through reading our Bibles, God communicates with us. And through praying, we communicate with Him.
This week, I encourage you to spend time in the Word and in prayer. Then, be on the lookout for moments when you can put your faith into action. This is Andrew Palau.
