When we talk too much and listen too little, we communicate to others that our ideas are much more important than theirs.
In the Bible, the Book of James advises us to reverse this process by putting a mental stopwatch on our conversations and to start keeping track of how much we talk and how much we actually listen.
Let's take a listen to today's reading in regard to waiting to see what the Holy Spirit gives us to say. Because when we provide our point of view in our responses, we could be offering dry bread crumbs.
Therefore, before we speak let's wait and hear what the LORD has to say.
