September is National Preparedness Month. It’s a great time to take actions towards preparing for emergencies and disasters where we live. We’ve seen a rash of earthquakes around the region lately, including a couple of Magnitude 4’s in northern Arizona which were felt in St. George, a handful of Magnitude high 1’s in Yellowstone, and even a couple of Magnitude 2’s in Magna. Not only here, central Mexico was hit with a 7.7 magnitude earthquake on Monday and another one this morning they were hit again with a 7.6 quake. Wade Mathews, Public Information Officer for the Utah DIvision of Emergency Management, joins the show to explain more on home hazards and earthquake safety.
