Agriculture is a huge part of America’s heritage. It’s amazing to consider that farmers are willing to invest so much time and effort into the land and their crops, knowing that they won’t see any income until harvest time. And even then, a sudden hailstorm, or unseasonable weather can destroy all of their hard work. That sort of diligent commitment is necessary in the Christian life as well. In fact, the apostle Paul used the metaphors of a hard working farmer, athlete and soldier to show us what Christian life and ministry is to be like. Today on a Daily Walk pastor John Randall continues his study of 2nd Timothy by having us consider chapter two.
