Headstrong Girls Boxing is a nonprofit boxing club offering free coaching and training to girls ages 12-18 in the Austin, Texas area. The club seeks to build community, promote mental well-being and connections and provide an outlet for girls to come together through learning basic boxing skills in a fun way. Club president and co-founder Alex Plichta joins us to share the group's story, how it's grow significantly in three years of operation and the major impact it's having on the girls who call the club their boxing home.
