On the final day of coverage this year, TPN staff members awarded their favorite innovators the first TPN.tv Innovator Picks awards. Don Baine's pick is certainly a unique one: Beam+. This device is a wheeled, remote controlled teleconference computer.

Essentially, the Beam+ allows you to interact with an environment remotely as if you are there. While most people won't use this product like Sheldon, the possibility exists for exactly this. With 2 wide-angle cameras, a 6 microphone array for noise cancelation and a 17" 4:3 screen, plus a built-in speaker, this is as close to real life as you can get remotely.
