All through the New Testament you can see that spiritual fruit is expected from the Christian life.  Jesus tells us, “You shall know them by their fruit.”
It is very important to note that the fruit the Lord expects in our lives is not the goal of the Christian, but the proof, or evidence of our abiding in Him.
