Dr. Lennis Echterling is a licensed clinical psychologist and professor in the Department of Psychology at James Madison University. Dr. Echterling's research focuses on crisis intervention, resilience/thriving, disaster/terrorism. We will explore the role of the mental health professional in relief efforts for disasters along with some of the components of post traumatic growth and helping survivors cope with extreme loss.
