We’re going back in time to tell you about a group of young women from Beaumont that made a huge impact around the world from the 1940s to the 1970s.They were known as the Melody Maids, an all-girl singing group led by choir teacher Eloise Milam.
Over 1500 girls traveled the world performing for our U.S. troops. A documentary was recently released about this amazing group of girls who got their start on the stage of Beaumont’s historic Jefferson Theatre back in 1942.
Ms. Kai Jai Conner, Executive Producer of The Melody Maids Movies, will give us some history of the group and tell us what it was like to be a part of this incredible legacy of morals, manners and music.
