Most of us have prayed for God to change us, deepen us and greatly use us for His glory. We usually picture the answers to those types of prayers to somehow just magically appear within us. Maybe we hope God will put all those good things inside of us while we sleep. Maybe we imagine that He will supernaturally encounter us and then- ZAP! - we will be changed, depended and fit for His greater use. But this is not the way God typically operates. Sometimes, God designs for us to experience a body-slam from Heaven. Sometimes, we have to wrestle with the Almighty to be made ready to receive His very best for us. This message features a moment like that from the life of Jacob. God had great plans for Jacob, but He needed to transform Jacob on the inside before Jacob could receive his purpose from God.
