On episode 85 of "The Reel-ists Podcast", the duo discuss the new film "Beautiful Boy" starring Timothee Chalamet and Steve Carell. Both agreed that the film was emotional, sentimental and heartbreaking to watch at times. Oscar felt that the film had a nice balance of content that was real and honest enough to be accurate, but nothing too graphic to discourage audiences from seeing the film. Donnie really liked the performances given by Chalamet and Carell, and was moved by many of their scenes in the film. However, one common critique between the two was that the film could have depicted more of the darker side of drug addiction. Listen to hear what else Donnie and Oscar had to say!
