In the first segment, John weighs in on the vaccination debate, saying that the controversy that is currently raging in America demonstrates that it is possible to be intelligent and irrational at the same time. He contends that while vaccinations do carry a risk of side-effects, the benefits far outweigh the risks. No doubt, vaccinations do come with risks, even devastating ones, but parents must approach the decision objectively. He does not believe that parents should be forced to vaccinate their children, nor should they be jailed for not doing so. This is a free country, he says, where parents have a choice whether or not to vaccinate their children.

In the second segment, John talks about the departure from parenting using biblical principle that our country has drifted away from since the 1960s. These are God’s children, he says, and we should be following His directions when it comes to the raising of our children.
